This is the loco to celebrate 3,000 pageviews (so it has 3,000 horses), thanks to everyone who got that number there and thanks to everyone for making my little over 1 year stay here enjoyable. You know who you are you guys

So, moving on to the loco this is the first B unit I have done in a while. The unfortunate model number (BS, hmm what does that mean...) is due to the unit being bith a B unit and a slug. As a B unit it is a fully functioning locomotive with a gross output of 3,300hp from it's 12 cylinder 710 engine (12-710G3C) but that engine can be shut down and utilising that blue plug on the end of the loco, can be a fully functional slug. It uses DC traction and can be operated by remote control so it can be used as a remote locomotive. Remote locomotive are used in the real world and are used as shunters in yards, removing the need of a driver to be on the loco and instead walking around with a mobile control stand console.

In all I'm quite proud of this thing, I started it 4 or 5 days ago and have spent somewhere between 7 and 8 hours building it and it turned out quite well in my opinion.
Random fact: I wanted to get this done in time for the rollover to 3,000 and finished it when my views were on 2,999, yet they stayed there for over 8 hours with me wanting to upload this!

T - Turbocharged Engine
42 - 12 cylinder 710 series engine
C - Co type bogies/trucks (meaning they have 3 axels)
dc - DC (Direct Current) traction
-3 - Wabtech QES-3 traction control system
B - B unit (cabless locomotive)
S - Slug unit (traction motors that use the power from another locomotive)

Next stop is the paint shop and it'll go into RLA colours and eventually be sandwiched between two RLA1's for a photo shoot, whenever that'll be.
